Overview

Roehampton is one of the newest universities in the UK, having been established in 2004. At the same time, at the same time, through the university’s 4 Colleges, which have come together to found the University, the university’s history dates back to the 1840s, particularly in the field of Childhood Studies and Education. The Colleges were also among the first colleges of higher education in the country to admit women.

Roehampton is located on parkland on the edge of central London, bordering Richmond Park, the largest in the city with a perimeter of 13km. It is very close to Wimbledon, where the tennis championships are held and Chelsea Football Club. The Oval Cricket ground is just 20 minutes travel time away. Buckingham Palace, the London Eye and Tower Bridge are a short travel journey away.

The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) has commended Roehampton for its academic standards and quality assurance systems and praised the accessibility of academic staff and the positive ways in which they respond to student needs.The University’s student services have consistently been rated as ‘excellent’ by the QAA. The Learning Resources Centre has 24-hour access, a fully stocked library, multi-media facilities, online catalogues, languages and a careers centre. Roehampton Students’ Union represents all students within the University and provides welfare and advisory services which cover academic, financial and health issues.

Accommodation, computer labs, sports hall, students' union, restaurants, drama workshops, TV studios, biomedical labs, teaching rooms and a learning resources centre are all located on the campus. One of the features of studying at the university is small class sizes.

The main programmes of study include those in the areas of; Education, Therapies, Clinical Nutrition and Neuroscience, Health Sciences, Human Rights, Sports, Media, English Literature and Language, International Business, MBA, International Management, HRM, Marketing, Finance,etc.

Accommodation

The University offers a variety of halls of residence across its campus. Most accommodation is for undergraduate students however, there are some rooms for postgraduate students and those returning to study after a break.

Fees and Scholarships

All Malaysian students at Roehampton will be awarded at least £1400 as an automatic scholarship from tuition fees. If a student is deemed to have a high academic score by the convenor, the automatic scholarship will be £1,800. Do look at what the university deems to be a high academic score for UG and PG.

For the MBA, this is an automatic scholarship of £1,800 or £2,200 for students who are deemed to have a high academic score.
