One-Year Expenses
An individual studying in UK will need to spend around £3,500 - £5,000 each year in addition to tuition fees. Cost of living has a significant difference in different regions of UK. One has number of options and alternative available when it comes to accommodation in UK. Institutions do sense the difficulty that an International student has in terms of accommodation.
So they offer and reserve places for them before they arrive in to UK. Many of the universities and colleges have halls of residence attached to them. Students will usually have a bedroom / study of their own, and will share bathrooms, laundries and recreational facilities. Most of these residential halls provide meals, and some offer kitchen facilities where students can cook and
store food. Cost is approximately £40 - £50 per week.

Besides these university accomodation, students can also get accomodation in private guest houses. The cost of living then can again variate depending upon the guest house and area type. Transport
UK has an efficient public transport system (buses, trains and metros / tubes) in all cities. There are also train, bus and air services between cities and towns. Students using public transport can apply for a student concession card. This assists students a lot in reducing transportation expenses.

Working in United Kingdom While Studying
Overseas students living in United Kingdom can work up to 20 hours each week during the their term and 40 hours or more each week during vacations. Any where you work in UK, you will be getting a basic job rate i.e. £5.05 per hour. Number of Jobs are easily available, i.e. Data Entry Clerk, Office Clerical Jobs, Library Assistant, Translator, Security, Sales Assistant, etc. If a student coming with her spouse, he/she can work more than 40 hours per week provided the student has more than 6-month visa.

Free Medical for Students
For all overseas Students Medical is free. You have to get register with a Doctor, i.e. free of cost. All medication prescribe for your health will not be borned by the oversea students.
